193. Thee Oh Sees

*Alternative/ Garage Rock (San Francisco, CA)

Thee Oh Sees has a very San Fran vibe. You can definitely tell just by listening to them that they are from California. I like the song Spider Cider the best!

187. Sounds Under Radio

*Alternative/ Rock (Austin, TX)

I alway love to support local, Austin, bands! I’ve never heard of Sounds Under Radio untill today, and I’d have to say they’re pretty good. Some of their songs have that kind of slow, emo-ish sound, but everyone has a little emo moment, right? These local dudes have also been on the Spider Man 3 soundtrack as well as the new show Vampire Diaries, way to go!

186. Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin

*Alternative/ Pop (Springfield, MO)

Ha, wow, what a name! Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin has a very pop/ punk/ alternative sound. They sound like something that I would really like when I was in middle school. If you want to check them out before SXSW, they will be playing with Tokyo Police Club tomorrow night at La Zona Rosa.

185. Some Community

*Alternative (Sao Paulo, Brazil)

You would not think that Some Community was from Brazil by just listening to them. They sound very American or European. This band is just great. They have a classic alternative song that makes me want to shuffle my feet just a little bit. I think they just might my favorite find of the day! Listen to the song Young & Fresh, its my favorite!

162. Middle Class Rut

*Alternative/ Rock (Sacramento, CA)

I thought I had never heard of them before, but once I listened to the song New Low, I knew I had heard it before. Middle Class Rut is just two dudes, Zack Lopez and Sean Stockham, but for just two guys they sound like a full band! These guys a definitely worth the listen.

160. Maps & Atlases

*Indie/ Rock/ Alternative (Chicago, IL)

I’ve been a fan of these guys for quite some time now! Maps & Atlases have that awesome indie song. Its almost hard for me to recomend a song for you guys to listen to because they are all so good! But if I had to choose listen to Will or Solid Ground. I’m really excited to see these guys!!!
